In exponential growth models, you assume that new people can be infected every day, because you keep meeting new people, Levitt said. But, if you consider your own social circle, you basically meet the same people every day. You can meet new people on public transportation, for example; but even on the bus, after some time most passengers will either be infected or immune.
Perfectly logical.
Humans somehow always think that what is now will continue to be. Makes me wonder what evolutionary trick devalued regression to the mean.

Those are extremely comfortable conditions for the virus and still, only 20% were infected. It is a lot, but pretty similar to the infection rate of the common flu, Levitt said. Based on those figures, his conclusion was that most people are simply naturally immune. So let's say 20% get sick and 1.0% of those sick die from it.
That's 0.2%.
So what is 0.2% of 325 million?
6.5 million.
Okay then, let's quarenteen in our country the 6.5 million oldest people with pre existing conditions, and let's let everybody else go back to work while COVID-19 passes through us.
Right?

.2% not 2%
650,000 Right?

“Is there anything to certain blood types being more immune or susceptible ?”
There was a post on here yesterday about a study from China. They said their research showed blood type A was more susceptible than type O. Nothing about type B or AB.

In China, it disappeared a week ahead of schedule. Looks like Dr. Leavitts projections are being borne out by the data.
The pandemic follows the bell curve distribution and the only real exception is Italy.
Then again no disease is going to follow the ideal plot line everywhere. There will always be exceptions.
Why Italy is one of them, no one really knows.
