The big one for chloroquine is widening of the heart’s QT interval(worse than Z-Pak and some other antibiotics) so you get pushed into V-Tach and/or heart attack. Combine that with Covid19 sometimes inflammation of the heart muscle(myocarditis) and....well, yeah. STRICT supervision required to try to go that route.

Yup, sounds like it could be risky for those with existing cardio-vascular conditions.
