About ten days ago, a government spokesman stated that “all” the Italian fatalities were Italian citizens.
Since then? I have not read or heard anything new.
Italy - just like the USA and Washington state - does not release ethnic information about their dead.

It does not deal specifically with population, but with Case Fatality Rate, which is a helpful metric after 8 weeks of data.
I did not see one bottle of water alongside of the cots that had people in them. NOT ONE.
What does the term, "Italian citizen" even mean?
Italy is importing its replacement population with the rest of us in the West; who's to say these "Italian citizens" aren't Chinese immigrants who have obtained citizenship but are still in contact with folks back home.

I agree about the situation, but considering they literally manufacture probably somewhere bear 80% of all of our goods, including drugs, how the hell are we going to leverage payment from them, especially with how much of our debt they own? How will any nation? The WTO? UN? WHO? All meaningless to China.
The treatment for this coronavirus is not sophisticated hospital based. It is more home remedy like your grandma used to tell you to eat her chicken soup. Seriously.
Unless you have other complications requiring hospitalization, the treatment is old fashion and can be done in your own home. Health authorities don't want you to clog up the ERs and hospitals to get treatment.
Hydrate a lot, get lots of rest, sleep day and night, take acetaminophen to treat the fever and body aches, eat lots of hot soup for nutrition, take breathing treatments via a nebulizer to clear your lungs and keep doing these thing over and over until you get better. It's not really more complicated than that.

1776 cases out of 350 million people. OR, 0.0005074286% of the population. Far from fifth highest by any honest standards.
Italy's population is about 60 million.
Our population is about 6 times larger with half as many cases.

I honestly don’t think there are smart FReepers unsupportive of some additional measures to combat the Wu Flu. Like a travel ban, locking down nursing homes, etc.
We just disagree with spending trillions to shut down the economy when you can count daily fatalities by the dozen or less. Killing the patient with the cure doesn’t solve anything. That’s all.
Do we really trust the Chinese statistics though?
The Chinese would NOT spend billions creating a bio-weapon that gives most people a mild flu.
I can't think of one reason to trust official Chinese information on anything to do with this virus. Can you?
