I think your pic would qualify as tactial nowadays; that was from the Crossroads tests (Able and Baker) and were fission-only weapons, nominal yield roughly 22 kt.
Our warheads now run ~335 kT, though we've done bigger. They're accurate so they don't need to be as large as the Commies, which takes us back to "Close only counts in ..."

ok.....thanks. I’m not that well versed in the kaboom tech. There was a photo of a Russian test that looked pretty big too but I went with the US/patriotic one. :)
