The directive...bans all non-essential travel and social activities, even having friends over for dinner.

I have no idea how all this corona BS is going to play out - whether it is a real thing or not, but a significant portion of the time I feel like we're all being hornswoggled. This "no friends for dinner" crap is absolutely a step too far and I can't help but think that whether the corona thing is real or not, this sort of overreaction is just a bunch of wannabe dictators testing how far they can push it.

Either the government(s) know something that they aren't telling us and the overreactions are justified, or this whole thing is a hoax.

I have to wonder if origin from a Chinese military bioweapons lab might be that last. And we’re far too dependent on Chinese supply chains (masks and other PPE, pharma & precursor chemicals, etc.) for us to say much out loud.
