You can’t with a straight face claim all cases are counted.....many are infected with little or no symptoms
Who’s counting them?
We won’t have an accurate guess of a count till it’s over and it will sure as hell go up insofar as infected cases
Whereas those who are hospitalizedor die....they are by default ...amongsted the counted at this juncture
As I have already said, a case fatality rate--the number that scientists use--is determined by the number of diagnosed cases once they have resolved. I am going to stick with the scientific definitions, and not speculate about numbers of cases that were asymptomatic or not diagnosed.
Every single year, WV gets the “WV Crud”.
Kinda flu-ish, kinda bronchitis-ish, mostly WTF *is* this? that we all get to one degree or another.
Doctors don’t treat it really because there’s nothing to do but wait until it slacks off.

I got it when Lenny went to the WV ER in July.
Within days, that damnable dry cough/heavy chest feeling and it’s hung on to a degree, ever since.
And WV is free of WuFlu.

Couple months ago, my doctor and his whole staff, despite getting “flu shots” all had flu.
We were both around them and didn’t, despite NOT getting “flu shots”, ever.
