As confirmed cases of COVID-19 rise in Florida, including the states third death as of Saturday afternoon, many area churches have announced their doors will be closed and Sundays worship services will be held online instead to protect churchgoers from the spread of the virus.
The elders at Christian Family Chapel, CFC, sent a message to its church family that services and campus activities are cancelled for Sunday, March 15. As we said previously we are making these decisions not out of fear but in consideration for those in our body who might be at a greater risk-health wise or who may live with those who are at greater risk.

If our church did that I think we would only have about 30 people, usually it runs around 90.

In NC the Governor (Dem. Tinpot dictator) has
1. Closed all public schools for 2 weeks

Our church of about 2k is online only tomorrow. Probably a good idea.
My church already streams their services, so there isn’t much of a change for them. They just told everyone the building was closed for the next two weeks and to access services on line.
I was listening to Catholic radio today and a lady caller was upset about priests not giving communion and that even during 9-11 the Churches were open. With all due respect, she’s a dumb broad. Right now this country needs prayers. And Trump called a day of prayer for Sunday. Maybe in a couple of weeks we’ll see that things are improving. God willing.
My church is streaming the service tomorrow.
"Dear Revival family, we will continue to hold services as usual on Sunday at 8, 9:45, 11:30 AM, while at the same time taking every precaution we can to keep the congregation safe. If you prefer, you can stay home and watch online at live.revival.tv.
"During this time, lets continue to keep praying for those affected by this virus and walk in faith, trusting God, and being the light and salt that He has called us to be. Remember the scripture says, we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25) and that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7)."
In Christs great love,
Pastor John Miller
I am working with our Priest to set up tomorrow’s services on Zoom.
Fortunately, between my young Priest and my even younger Junior Warden, they have the tech thing covered. If it were up to me, I would have set it up as a teleconference.
We will see how it goes!
Second Baptist in Houston is using online service tomorrow
Yep this is happening. One of the benefits of already having a streaming capability in place.
Movie studios are going to start releasing movies directly to streaming instead of theaters.
Sorry. Not good enough. They should cancel service and go full streaming.
We belong to a very small church, but my husband and I are debating if we should go tomorrow. We are both seniors with health conditions, so I am torn. I really want to go, but... a new case of the virus just popped in a county next to ours.
Diocese of Oakland (CA) says people are released from obligation to attend Mass and can watch services on EWTN.com.

Please dont go. Stay home and be safe. Watch one of the hundreds of church services that will be streaming tomorrow.
I’m in Grants Pass and my church just shifted to four services a day, rather than two.
The pastor, Matt, asked people to go to the early 7:30 service or the late one, so I’ll be going to the 7:30 service.
Thank you for your thoughts. As it turned out, my problem was solved because our church and just about every other church in our area canceled services today. I think I will listen to a sermon online.
God bless!
