Ironically, "The Stand" was the only Stephen King novel that I truly liked. And I read most of them.

For short stories, my favorite one was "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption" which was turned into the "Shawshank Redemption" movie.

I saw the 8-part YT “The Stand”, and it was eerie. So was that movie about the murderous dolls, and “Pet Semetary”.

But his best years are long behind him, I’d bet. He’s never been the same since he was hit by that car, a few years ago.
