The magnitude of the West’s dependence on China for medical supplies cannot be overstated. From medicine, to surgical instruments and supplies, medical clothing, IV bags and tubes, thermometers, syringes, etc., etc. I have no idea about more expensive diagnostic machinery such as xrays, blood testing centrifuges, MR1s, radiation therapy machines ... I expect there are some domestic manufacturers of these more expensive items, but I don’t think we have full information about the extent of your vulnerability.
