“”Voters rejected more than half of the 237 local tax and bond measures on that ballot””

There couldn’t possibly have been that many bond measures/propositions on the recent ballot - they’d still be voting if that was true.

I understand about the bonds. Bonds are a debt. CA repays such debts by turning to property taxes among other sources. Nothing out of SAC should be trusted to be what it is described as so long as the Dem party has a supermajority and a stranglehold on the governor’s chair. Counties have been passing parcel taxes ostensibly for eduction - the one exception to prop tax increases - since the original Prop 13 passes in the 70’s.

I appreciate your sincerity and reasonableness, but my cynicism has been earned during the more than 50 years as a CA resident.
