Not true. The Corona virus has been around a long time. It is often CURRENTLY referred to as Cov-19, because it is a particular strain of Corona identified in 2019. Like all flu type viruses it mutates constantly and each year has distinct differences from what was identified in the prior year(s). That is why the flu vaccine is a new vaccine every year, as they try to keep up with the latest strains of a virus.
1. They will develop a vaccine for Cov-19. It is likely only weeks, if at most months away.
2. The Cov-19 vaccine will be modified and made new each year, as Cov-19, like other flu-type viruses will develop slightly new strains every year.

Keep your anxieties at home. Society does not need you out and about panicking everyone else. Get on home delivery for your groceries.
Not according to Dr. Anthony Fauci. A "candidate" vaccine may be weeks or months away, but as he's told us numerous times, best case of getting through all the different levels of testing needed so they don't accidentally harm (or kill) people with said vaccine is 12-18 months out. He's also described that as "light speed" and "the fastest rollout of a human vaccine in history".
Anyone expecting a vaccine available for us to take in "weeks, if at most months" is going to be sorely disappointed.
Now here’s a question: At what point is a virus a “novel” virus as opposed to a different strain?
Depending on which article one believes (have been linked here on FR repeatedly), researchers in China in 2017 (date of published findings, I think) identified 400 or 500 different coronaviruses in bats in some cave (or group of caves). The researchers thought they’d just scratched the surface. Some local villagers had antibodies to at least one of the viruses.
