Either this is serious enough to bypass the layers of bureaucracy, or it’s not too awful and we can keep the current process.

If driving a loved one to the ER, would anyone cautiously obey every traffic regulation, or prioritize timely arrival?

It’s not bureaucracy..it’s the time needed to study the effects of a vaccine in a small sample population to see the health impact on the people vaccinated.

Even though I’m in the group that wants a vaccine TOMORROW if not sooner, there’s as I understand it at least no way to compress it beyond 12-18 months, or we could be doing more harm with the vaccination than good.
