'Preppers' have endured years of mockery. Coronavirus fears have given them a booming self-survival business.

But if preppers had bought toilet paper and hand sanitizer instead of freeze dried food they’d be called pariahs and fools today.

They did.

Also soap, basic OTC medical supplies, laundry detergent or the stuff for making such, cans of soup, orange juice... they have it all already.

And a lot of these people were not preppers in the way CNN is using the word. Just people that realize that at any time things can go wrong and it is nice to have a plan B in place and ready to go.

You have the right approach. I rarely discuss with anyone.

It's disappointing that some preppers, including some on FR, have had a smug attitude about their prepping, and others being not prepared. Almost like a "sucks to be you" mentality.

Oh, those packs are nice (as long as you can clean your hands after using them) - I remember before they had them.
