In 2015 to 2016 election, Sessions was Trump’s most (and first) strong supporter. I thought Trump was going to pick him for VP and tasked him for illegal immigration/border wall job.
As it turned out, even though Sessions was in DC for years, he was still too trusting/naïve and got himself out maneuvered. AG job was not up to Sessions’ cup.
However, I will still support Jeff Sessions for his old senate job. Don’t know much about Tuberville, I suspect he’s more GOPe type.
Let me re-phrase my previous post -
Senator Sessions was a strong conservative representative, and as Trump’s AG, Jeff Sessions did some good work wrt illegal immigration enforcement. So he still has my support for his senate run right now.
However, I would very much like to ask him what had he learned from his short stint as Trump AG. Before I will change my opinion one way or another.
