I respect Mike Pence but I worry about him at the top of the ticket for a couple of reasons.

I think he’s basically just too nice a guy. He doesn’t have that fire in the belly, that ability to push back in a nasty way like Trump does when the assembled hordes of the media start piling-on him.

I’m also concerned that the country is becoming socially liberal at a VERY rapid pace, and by the time 2024 rolls around Pence’s very traditional values will be seen by most as a weird anachronism.

I agree 100%. Pence is a good man but, as you say, he doesn’t have that fire in the belly and they’d walk over him.

I say Mike Pompeo or Ron deSantis.

Watch Pence sitting next to The Donald for twenty minutes. The guy is dead. Not even a twinge of life. When he does speak, it’s a one note perpetual, boring monotone guaranteed to cause drowsiness.
