I saw this up-close and personal while working in the retail industry. It's a phenomenon that happens to the male brain as we age. It's called "I have a RIGHT to say whatever the hell I want to, cause I'M GONNA DIE SOON!" The filters all do indeed come off. I am well acquainted with this phenomenon, it used to cause cashiers to come into my office to cry every day.
