Man, you could be exposed before that. A man tested positive yesterday in a town about 20 miles from me after a trip to California. That is community-spread, of course. This morning it was announced that this wife and THREE YEAR OLD daughter have the virus. I’m concerned with so many on FR taking this so lightly.
California and Italy are about the same size and have about the same populations. California today has the same numbers as Italy had two weeks ago. Great Britain, Germany, France are about two weeks behind Italy. This is not a political situation, it’s a matter of life and health.
I hope I’m wrong, but I’d much rather for people to say I over reacted now, than me say I told you so.
That family is about 3 miles from me.
Look whats happening in south korea, taiwan, singapore....sure not like Italy, but that socialize medicine and an already bankrupted EU colony!
The three year old will be just fine.
The parents will likely be fine too assuming they’re young parents.
However the odds that the parents might end up in the ICU aren’t zero.
Italy has stopped treating anyone over 65 or anyone under 65 with any pre-existing conditions. Don’t have hypertension, diabetes, or a BMI over 25.
