For what it’s worth, I would do the same if I had the facilities, regardless of how low the price of gas went. It is a wise preparedness move.
Diesel is WAY safer to store than gasoline.
Though I do store some gas for the snow Blower and the lawnmower. <5 gal each. The blower claims it needs 87
Octane, the Lawnmower 85.
And of course I don’t buy any gasoline with alcohol in it....
