instead of going nuts, the best precaution is to act as if anyone around you may be “sick” (like many of us do during regular Flu season) and refrain from casual skin to skin contact, try to keep distance from anyone who coughs/sneezes, and wash your dang hands before picking your nose.
Seems like many thrive on the extra angst...kind of like their own ‘sick’ adventure.
The trouble is that, like with the Commandments, nobody seems to be able to follow a few simple rules...because they have lit their own hair on fire and are too busy running amok.
