The U.S. government says it is sending 160 military police and engineers to two official border crossings to deal with asylum seekers in case a federal appeals court strikes down one of the Trump administration's key policies.
Senior Customs and Border Protection officials said Friday that active duty personnel will be in place by Saturday at ports of entry in El Paso and San Diego, where a large caravan attempted to cross the border in 2018, resulting in chaos and the closure of the San Ysidro port, the nation's busiest land crossing. Officials say 80 service members will be sent to that port and another 80 to the El Paso one.

Send more soldiers. Lots more. With orders to use all necessary force to stop border crossings outside of any legal port of entry and to back up the BP with the full force of the US military.
It’s what I’d do, and all those people in lines for TP in Los Angeles and Seattle would probably vote for me, too.

Makes you want to arm up and head for the border doesn’t it? If you or I did that though, we would be the ones getting shot.
More years ago than I care to remember, I took an oath to defend my country. Battles ended, war ended, honorably discharged, issued my DD214 but as far as I’m concerned that oath will end when I’m dead, no sooner, no later. Now at age 74, I’d do it all again to the very best of my abilities.
