Well, colonoscopy is much safer than abortion, given that all humans who went into the procedure come out alive.
But there are very rare cases where your intestine is perforated, as any procedure that requires invasion into the body has the risk of perforation...and guess what the doctor doing your colonscopy has? ADMITTING PRIVILEGES.

There have been documented cases (including some well-known celebrities) who died from a perforated colon as the result of a colonoscopy gone bad. No medical procedure is 100% safe.
