But consider this scenario.
Replace immigration sanctuary with Second Amendment sanctuary.
Replace ICE with ATF.
Consider the response in each scenario.
Per the article, the response was harsh language.
The ATF will not survive for long as a functional entity in the scenario you posit. They will, sooner or later, have physical items forcefully directed at them, not harsh language.
The fault with this scenario is that the ATF wont be brought in to enforce state law.
ICE is merely following federal law which supersedes local and state law.
Theres nothing in our Bill of Rights, guaranteeing the natural & inalienable Rights of foreign nationals to break into our country and rape, rob & murder citizens.
Not a fair comparison.
The 2nd Amendment is Constitutional law. Sanctuary is not.

Immigration sanctuary is protecting criminal alien invaders.
Second amendment sanctuary is protecting a civil right named in the Constitution.
