I don't think that's true. If she had preferred Bernie, she would've done what she could to be a friend to him, to help him consolidate his lead. She would've dropped out before Super Tuesday. That way, at least some of the votes that went to her might have gone to Bernie. But she stayed in and revived Biden's candidacy.
