Intensifying its enforcement in so-called sanctuary cities across the country, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has begun 24-hour-a-day surveillance operations around the homes and workplaces of undocumented immigrants. The agency plans to deploy hundreds of additional officers in unmarked cars in the coming weeks to increase arrests in cities where local law enforcement agencies do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.

ICE leadership has requested at least 500 special agents who normally conduct long-term investigations into dangerous criminals and traffickers to join the enhanced arrest campaign rolling out in sanctuary cities, according to an internal email reviewed by The New York Times.

The request follows an earlier decision, made public last month, to deploy elite tactical BORTAC agents — immigration SWAT teams that are normally assigned to risky border smuggling, rescue and intelligence operations — to help arrest and deport immigrants in sanctuary cities.

The expanded surveillance operations and added manpower are the latest intensification in a conflict between the Trump administration and cities that refuse to help with deportations, including Boston, New York, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans and Newark. The effort began last month and will run through Dec. 31, according to the internal email, which says the initiative is called Operation Palladium.

I assume they are prioritizing illegal aliens who are subject to deportation orders and/or have committed other crimes while in the U.S.

Hopefully they are going after businesses with I-9 violations too. Arresting a few illegals will get the politicians to give indignant press conferences about it, but start shutting down businesses relying on underpaid illegals (and then hit the bosses for underpayment of payroll taxes, minimum wages and overtime) and you might start getting some action. Clobber the cities’ tax bases and campaign contributions to force the politicians to choose between illegals and citizens.

I bet ICE could score big if they put up hidden cameras all over Milwaukee during the DNC in July. They would likely snag a bunch of high grade felon illegals, and team up with the Federal Marshals Service to snag wanted fugitives from Antifa, BLM, Islamists, etc.

Imagine the coup if they busted terrorist ops near the DNC.

Well BRAVO to the ICE agents - sanctuary cities are where the illegals are - why not take advantage of knowing this is where they are - makes it a little easier to do their jobs.

This should be part of a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1986 goes like this -

1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.

Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.
