My position is if you are not in custody or committed to monitored help facility, the government has no right to say yo can’t own a weapon. That is what the 2nd really says.
ImVho, ALL so-called “gun control laws ®ulations” are an infringement on our NATURAL RIGHTS.
I’m for REPEAL of every federal gun statute & prohibiting the passing of any more such laws/regulations.
I also FAVOR a twenty year additional mandatory sentence to prison for committing OR attempting any violent felony or felony theft, while armed with any “deadly weapon”. Further, that 20 years should be served FIRST & IN FULL before beginning any other sentence which the criminal may have received.
(As a retired LEO, I would expect that single new law to CUT the violent felony crime rate by 25-30%, as this is a REALLY EASY case to prosecute. = For example, was the criminal ARMED with any deadly weapon at the time that he/she committed or attempted homicide, robbery, kidnapping, sale of narcotics, burglary, etc.? = IF he or she WAS armed, the criminal is found guilty & soon begins serving the 20 years.)
