Fudd - reference to Elmer Fudd, the hunter nemesis of Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck. IOW, those in the gun community who’s entire point of reference is guns = hunting so if they don’t use it to hunt, why do you need it?
If you’re interested in catching up on what’s happening on this subject, you can also do a search on “Zumbo”, a modern-day Fudd who formerly wrote for a gun porn rag where he questioned using an AR platform for predator removal, i.e. coyote hunting. Zumbo lost his job over stating his strong opinion that such firearms have no legitimate hunting use, i.e. “long live deeply-blued steel and well-grained walnut stocks.”
