I live in a neighborhood that features several huge apartment/condo complexes which,in turn, are an easy commute to a huge high tech complex. The apartments are populated largely by Indians (the Asian variety) who work almost exclusively at that high tech complex. And yes, they're on H1B visas.
I refuse to believe that this company can't find citizens/Green Card holders to fill their positions.Of course they'd have to pay twice...or three times...as much as they pay the Indians.

Here in Atlanta we have whole subdivisions of Indians. All tech workers. There are thousands of them.

I live in a city that had an IT payroll of $700 million/year in the 80's, and the city was really thriving.
Now their parking lots are filled with satellite dishes "pointed towards India", and once-thriving businesses have shuttered.
