Agree but it is a damned if you do, damned it you don’t situation.
We have to go back to the ‘first one’ that figured his Presidential duties were to go to a natural disaster site to ‘look’..
All it does it put an extra burden on the people who are actually WORKING because of the extra security, the waste of 3 or 4 airplanes to ‘visit’ (Have to carry the press along)
Maybe a good idea to have the press pay their own way ESPECIALLY since these days the only reason they are there is to catch someone in a ‘mistake’(if an R)
While at knocking the press out, it would be much cheaper to fly all those ‘dignitaries’ first class and coach or charter for the ‘necessary staff’.
All the aides have to do is stay home and let the ‘boss’ record what he/she is doing.
