I have always admired Booker T. Washington. I thought his life story in “Up From Slavery” was inspirational.
I always found it puzzling and discouraging that large parts of the black community seem to think much higher of somebody like WEB Du Bois, who had a very different outlook and approach to black relationships in a white society. I don’t care much for the guy and his philosophies.
