I think the DNC hopes that his constant gaffes and requisite lambasting them will lead voters to begin to feel sorry for him and angry with anyone who would make fun of such an unfortunate situation. Never realizing, of course, that it’s really NOT a good idea to put someone in the Oval Office out of sympathy. They believe that the public got fed up with the constant Trump attacks, and maybe the same thing will happen with Biden. Of course they will never understand that what caused the public to stand behind Trump was the fantastic job he was doing for this country.
