The death rate is questionable because you are mixing different national statistics together. In China, they just sealed off Hubei province by force and told them to fend for themselves. In the US, we screen a ton of people and find the virus even though people show little or no symptoms. These people are counted in our statistics but not in China’s, who only count those dead and hospitalized. We saw that when we forced people together on that Princess cruise ship, a significant number got the virus. If we apply those statistics to Hubei province, we can estimate that there are a million infected, but only a few thousand deaths, which is much less than 1%.
Why are you assuming the number of infected in Hubei is so much higher than reported but not the number of dead?
I think that due to edicts from on high and the total breakdown of the health care system in Wuhan the numbers from there are meaningless. There is circumstantial evidence and some reporting that the number of dead is much, much higher, but how can we know for sure?
