It always amazed me that both judges and prosecutors are paid by the government. Yes, but The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behavior, and shall, at stated Times, receive for their Services a Compensation which shall not be diminished during their Continuance in Office.
. . . so the other branches of the government - including the DoJ - have no power of the purse over the judiciary.
