I just heard yesterday that it IS happening in San Jose, CA and much of the Bay Area in CA
I was walking in downtown Menlo Park, California tonight 6:00 to 6:30. It was eerily quiet. Restaurants were 10% to 50% full. Street-side tables almost empty (and it is warm out). Hardly any pedestrian traffic. Saw one Asian woman wearing a mask, but that is always common here. There were six or eight vacant storefronts which is really unusual for Menlo Park. I’ve been away since the week before Christmas, so I’m not sure what a normal Monday early evening is like these days. But the whole scene was odd.
