The Russians put great credence in their air defenses, but we and the Israelis and now the Turks seem to get around them fairly easy.
The big question is whether Erdogan wants to risk a prolonged war with Russia. I would think not, but on the other hand in the short term Putin risks a humiliating ground defeat in Syria.
My guess is that Erdogan works out some modus vivendi with Putin at Assad's expense: I notice the Russians are not doing much to support him after this one, tentative airstrike on the Turks.

S300s and 400s are not gotten around easily. Especially not by Turks. They haven’t been fired for larger reasons. But if they do go hot, don’t kid yourself, they are very effective. They won’t shoot them at Israelis or US planes for larger political reasons. But Turks should be very careful
