Eagleton didn’t have a breakdown; no one could stomach a candidate that suffered “gasp” depression in the past. Just like that lil Supreme Court nominee that smoked weed, no one could deal with it. Now it’s legal. Go figure.
His doctors may have prescribed him new medications - his SC victory speech wasn’t half bad. If they can manage his dosage right, he could get his campaign back on track.
Regardless though, an incumbent president in this economy has zero chance of losing.
With his apparent descent into some form of dementia it is surprising that the media and DNC could cover it up this far. His mental deterioration shows a separate pseudo-reality in his mind where he can run for US Senator, still work in the Obama Administration today, see kids playing 45s on record players and believe he is still 45 years old and ready to be President.
How dangerous a leader he would be in the White House. Foreign powers, political groups, complex decisions about policy to deal with crises.....all would be far beyond his brain's capacity to reason and respond. Would they put him in a secured room and have his wife come out to tell what he decides, as Woodrow Wilson?
