We’ve got a nice pristine mountain lake a hundred yards from us. Just need some water purification system. I guess a big plastic barrel and a bit of Clorox would do in a pinch. Hauling 5 gallon buckets would get tiring, though.
We did that in 1969 when my uncle “finished” his house in Ketchum, ID. The water hadn’t been turned on when we visited that summer, so we made many trips down to nearby Big Wood River with buckets!
There are closed 5 gal plastic containers... then get a small wagon and you’re good to go. Sounds like a wonderful place to live.
