SEOUL (REUTERS) - South Korea reported 210 new coronavirus cases on Sunday (March 1) afternoon local time, raising the country's total infections to 3,736, the Korea Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said.
The updated numbers added to the 376 recorded earlier in the day. KCDC also reported an 18th death linked to the virus.
Considering it’s now known that the vast majority have minor or even no symptoms, even in countries such as S. Korea where testing is being done at a much higher rate than other countries, we have no idea of the total number of infections.
In a way, this could be good news. In the end, it may well turn out that severe cases and death are nowhere near the 2-3% originally feared.
Thank you
Always a silver lining.
