First acknowledged sample sequenced for viral identification, was taken 24 December 2019 from an infected patient admitted to the Hospital of Wuhan 18 Dec. 2019. Reports of an uptick in pneumonia patients preceded this date for the province in which Wuhan is located.

Yep - so it didn’t really spread as fast as many think - not to say it can’t be a serious threat but too many have been using bad data.
