During the Dean Martin roasts, Don Rickles used to jab celebrities who were up in years about their “life at the home” (George Burns, Jimmy Stewart, Gene Kelly, et. al.) and everyone laughed uproariously.

I miss those days when famous people could actually take a good ribbing in stride.

For those who think the president may be taking things a bit too far with Biden, Bloomberg, etc.I would suggest they review the steady onslaught of “humorous” slurs he and his family have endured since June, 2015.

Yep, I remember those roasts also.

They were hilarious and done in good fun, Don Rickles was a master at it.

There’s nothing humorous about the Democrat party now, they’re out for blood.

...in fun. -- Friars Club roasts, and much of it could not get on the air. Jonathan Winters would make your sides hurt laughing, but I don't see how any of that could be broadcast. I used to have tapes but they are not useable any longer.
