I chalk it up to a lack of very basic math education - “they’s only x amount of people with it in the US! It’s fake, a hoax, crisis actors!!’ . without stopping to think that in every country where it’s raging there were only x amount of patients in the first few weeks, including Wuhan.
I am sitting here watching Fox News talking to a virus patient. The host is asking this guy if would have gone to work. The patient seems earnest and calm.
80% get a mild case. That’s great information to get out. But to spin this like it’s not worthy of a modicum of concern—when 90% of people know NOTHING about infectious disease—is irresponsible.
The patient is being much more reasonable than Vitters. Can we get this guy out on the networks instead of these moronic hosts?
