Yes, it does seem that it most likely came from a Wuhan area biological lab. The drastic Chinese government response would support that. Bet the US government knows more on this than they are publicly says, which is why they immediately discouraged travel, then banned travel. The problem is that we’ve not sealed our border completely and implemented quarantine of all arriving travelers. Us and everyone failed on this so not we have it popping up around the world and in more places in US. We need stricter quarantine and seal the borders and ports. Trump should use the excess funding to build the wall, a win-win, especially now that there are cases of Chinese Wuhan Coronavirus just across the border in Mexico.
Outside of China I don’t think it is going to turn out to be very bad. In China it is far worse than it would be elsewhere because of the weakened immune systems resulting from living in a very polluted atmosphere and because of personal hygiene being atrocious. That said It seems to me that the Chinese government reacted as it did because they knew what they were trying to create in that lab and they expected something like a Plague to result.
