I’m grateful these people have zero understanding of economics and rational behavior. Yeah. One day purchase strike. How exactly does that hurt the economy? Won’t we just buy the same amount of goods and services just a day earlier or later? How does this affect total demand or consumption? It doesn’t.

Signaling is so much easier than actually doing anything.

I posted on a thread today about the Southern writer - Lewis Grizzard. New author to me but a friend brought some of his books to me...another Jeff Foxworthy - funny as heck.

He said he once took a girlfriend to Paris and she spent $2000 on his American Express card in one afternoon of shopping at a store that sold nothing but pantyhose and fertilizer. He couldn’t use his card after that as all the numbers had been worn off...

This is the mentality of Arquette....

I’m sure he’s pulling the reader’s legs but it’s more fun than getting upset over the news or what passes as news!
