ATHENS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 29th February, 2020) Greece on Friday evening vetoed a NATO statement in support of Ankara after an attack on Turkish troops in Syria's Idlib, which killed more than 30 soldiers, To Vima newspaper reported.
The situation in Idlib escalated after on February 27 Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (banned in Russia) terrorists launched a large-scale attack on the positions of the Syrian government forces. The Syrian army opened return fire. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Turkish soldiers, who should not have been there, came under fire too.

Gee, what were the Turkish troops doing intermingled with these ruffians?
NATO’s days have been numbered since the Soviet collapse.
Good for Greece. Hopefully, Greece will now resolve to no longer allow a single Islamist Turk enable invader to set foot on Greek soil.
Good question.
“:Sputnik” LOL!
Do you have another source on a subject?
now, there is a greater threat.
islam.
Long time past NATO and Turkey should part ways.
Should have happened with the invasion of Cyprus.
(Kozak... this semi-rant isn’t meant for you... just venting)
NATO needs to be rolled up like yesterday’s newspaper and trashed. It serves no useful purpose now. The Turks want to play in the Syrian sandbox? Let them take casualties. Their mission is not a NATO mission. NATO doesn’t automatically offer support to US military actions around the globe, do they?
