Ditto the governor of California, also a Democrat, whose state may have identified the first truly domestic case. He said one day after the president spoke: “This is not our first great challenge as it relates to public health. . . . These protocols have been perfected.”

she had one trader saying US investor confidence might return if the death toll can be contained. then he pauses and says - as if he’s just recalled - words to the effect of course, there’s been no deaths so far.
as for Fleury, she didn’t bother to jump in and correct him during the pause, because she has been full on hyping the destruction of the US economy.

We may luck out—but it will be as much luck as skill.
You get a bunch of people in one area coming down it, it gonna seriously tax hospital/treatment resources. If it gets into the prison system, that’ll make things even more interesting. Hopefully God has a soft spot somewhere in His heart for America, even tho he doesn’t get much love in return.
Then the WH needs to close the flights from China , Korea, Italy , and Japan .

Right now, world trading markets are taking a major hit. Governments are blowing the dust off their old pandemic plans and feeding details to click-hungry press outlets. “We may have to use stadiums for mass quarantines of suspected epidemic cases…” “We have to cancel large events.” Apparently, China has a hundred million people in some form of lockdown.
There is no doubt that this insanity can continue, regardless of the facts: who cares whether researchers ever really discovered the COV virus; who cares that diagnostic tests are worthless for defining a case of COV; who cares that case numbers can be inflated without evidence; who cares that environmental factors in China (deadly air pollution, 5G technology rollout) can explain why people there are falling ill.

That’s NOT what I’ve read.
At this point we’ve seen many flights between mainland China and the US cut, especially as the US has added a new coronavirus travel ban.
On the most basic level, foreign nationals who have visited China in the last 14 days are no longer able to enter the United States, unless they’re the immediate family members of US citizens or permanent residents.
Understandably this has caused airlines to greatly cut back service. American, Delta, and United, are all cutting mainland China flights, and even China Eastern and Hainan Airlines have canceled many of their US flights as well.
Chinese airlines say that they’re doing this due to weak demand, while US airlines say they’re doing this due to a combination of weak demand and the safety of their crews.
Whatever the actual facts are...China has not and is still NOT being “transparent” about this disease.
There is neither a serious outbreak nor any snowball going down
