How about another “everyday” perspective? The sun radiates 3.86 x 10^26 watts. That’s joules per second. The sun’s lifetime is approximately 10 billion years. So over its lifetime, the sun radiates 1.2 x 10^44 joules (the sun is actually getting brighter as it ages, but whatever).
So this explosion is 41 billion times the total energy of our sun over its lifetime. At least this number doesn’t require exponents.
Or, in layman’s terms, it’s like a zillion kabillion unimaginillion impossibillion crickets rubbing their legs together all at once.
