My sister who lives in Buffalo says it’s dry and clear and no snow.
I think the snow is hitting the South Towns, not Buffalo itself
Just about the same here in northwest New Jersey.
It does look like you’re due for some overnight.
But by Sunday the sun should be out and it’s supposed to be up to 50 by Tues and raining the whole time.
Yippee. Flooding.
If you're afraid of getting sun burned, I'll board you at my place and you can bundle up in winter clothes and shovel my driveway...........
Think of the upside, the clothes protect you from the sun that isn't here and the exercise is good for your heart..........
You bring the booze and the chips, I'll provide the snow and the shovel........LOL!
I went there too and lived in Fulton at the time.
But having grown up in the Buffalo area, was no stranger to snow.
Is Griffiths Air base still open there?
Do they still have the nukes ready to go?
I went to SU in the mid 80’s.
I had a buddy from Lowville. We went up there for a snowmobiling road trip one weekend. His backyard was the Tug Hill Plateau.
My last year at SU Forestry school we went to Lowville and toured the AMF Bowling pin and Ethan Allen Furniture factory in Lowville.
They’re saying any snowfall will be light, which is always good. We don’t ever have any flooding here thankfully.
Thus far, this storm has been a flurry in the south towns. Unfrozen lake Erie presents opportunity for some “real” accumulation, however.
Wake me when we’re getting 3 to 4 inches per hour OR when the scotch supply gets too low....

Oh yeah!? Well it was -29 this morning in Fairbanks! So there!
32 degrees and snowing in NC mtns
Sadly, Griffiss AFB was closed by Clinton when he downsized the military.
It’s still in use today in a limited way, as I hear planes taking off and landing on occasion, but mostly it’s a business park.

Mom lives - Olean, NY. It’s been bad for them.
The RA in my dorm at SUNY Morrisville was from Rome. His dad was in the USAF stationed there. This was back in 1982-83.
Griffiss AFB was closed around 94. I worked at Rome Lab, which remains open today.
I live right down the street from the base. Most of it is Griffiss Business Park. The Clintons closed the air base, but NORAD is still here, as is the airport. We get military planes landing from time to time. I think it’s the airport President Trump landed when he campaigned for then Congresswoman Claudia Tennant in 2018.
Cuomo made extensions to the Rome campus of Mohawk Valley Community College. That’s down the street from me too. He put in a bunch of round-abouts on the grounds of the base. We used to call them rotaries when I was a kid. I guess they changed the name so they’d be compatible with Europe. If you use the term rotary today, nobody knows what you’re talking about. I try not to access it as it actually takes me more time to get where I want to go. Leave it to a Cuomo to F*** everything up.
Been there. I think it was the rest area near Utica we were able to get to and watch it snowing like crazy for two hours then clear right up and the sun come out.
I am very familiar with rotaries. They are everywhere here in NH and MA. They actually work quite well, especially when you have more than two roads converging at one point.

The rotaries that are confusing are in Bermuda and the British Virgins Islands. They go counter clockwise AND you drive on the left. Very difficult after too many rum punches.
Tomorrow is the last day of extended autumn here in central CT. Winter never arrived. Sunday is the beginning of early Spring.
I was in New Hampshire 3 weeks ago and saw 2 inches of snow on the ground. No longer any reason to go south for the winter
