US removes Viet Nam from list of areas vulnerable to community spread of SARS-CoV-19

HA NOI — The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday decided to remove Viet Nam from the list of destinations vulnerable to community transmission of SARS-CoV-2.

The decision was made during a teleconference between the Vietnamese Embassy in the US and the US Department of State, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and the CDC.

Representatives of the CDC and the HHS praised the Vietnamese Government’s efforts in the fight against the acute respiratory disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, saying monitoring, quarantine and treatment have been carried out comprehensively in the country.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

I just spent a few weeks there, even in North Vietnam, along the border with China.

Vietnam closed the border. Winter is a popular tourist time for millions of Vhinese to go to the warm south in Vietnam. Vietnam took it on the chin and closed entry to all the tourism dollars.

Keep in mind, Vietnam is communist and news is propaganda. Even some of my photos and posts on social media were deleted by the government while I was there.

Based on patterns, there are always 3-4 people on FR that literally must all be unemployed or retirees, that all post articles here within 1-9 minutes of each other, to try to get the “action” going again.

It is still annoying how all these countries seem to have a way to test for the virus, and we still haven’t announced that we have kits.
