US Navy orders self-quarantine for ships that have made stops in the Pacific amid coronavirus concerns

Washington (CNN)The US Navy has ordered all ships that have visited countries in the Pacific region to effectively self-quarantine and remain at sea for 14 days in order to monitor sailors for any symptoms of coronavirus.

I believe the navy will tie a rope around each sailor then drop them over the side of the ship into the sea.

Bring Out Your Dead

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.

I called my boss today and told him I was ‘self-quarantining” due to eating Chinese food yesterday.
He said that was fine but he was going to self-quarantine my job in the mean time.

I believe before the 14 days is up they will add another 14 days as there has been news of people getting it again after they were given the Ok that they were cured or didn’t have it anymore etc. You get the idea.
