Nearly 7,000 travelers in CA asked to monitor, isolate themselves: Federal officials suggested to more than 6,700 travelers who have returned to California after Feb. 2 from China, outside of Hubei Province, to “monitor their health, stay home and limit interactions with others as much as possible,” California Department of Public Health officials said.

Might as well stay home since we don’t have any tests that work.

Woodpile report re CDC:

Only three of the more than 100 public health labs across the country have verified the CDC test for use . It means no one has been tested for this coronavirus in forty-seven states. The kits CDC distributed are flawed. and none have yet been replaced.

What are the real numbers of coronavirus cases in the US?

As we say around here, “you can’t find what you’re not looking for”.

Only three US states can test for coronavirus, says public lab group

PUBLISHED FRI, FEB 21 20201:04 PM EST:

California, Nebraska and Illinois are the only U.S. states that can currently test for coronavirus, the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) told Reuters on Friday.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) last week said some of the testing kits sent to U.S. states and at least 30 countries produced “inconclusive” results due to a flawed component.

The CDC planned to send replacement materials to make the kits work.

So I, Grampa Dave, keep asking when we are told about results of coronavirus tests, “Who did the tests and what tests did they use?”
