Mayor Pete, perhaps the Democrats' best bet

This is garbage.

Let's step back for a moment and see how we got here. Long before Hillary Clinton sealed her nomination four years ago, the Sanders craze was palpable and pervasive. His populist appeal is emblematic of the same appeal in Republican ranks. Progressives are just as fed up as Republicans have been for decades. They're tired of "waiting their turn." Sanders is the Democratic version of Donald Trump. He embodies all that pent-up frustration, and nothing will hold back his supporters, certainly not the appeals of establishment Democrats who claim he is "too liberal" to get elected.

Only one problem with that: PDJT is an extremely successful man who's demonstrated competence, problem solving ability, the ability to play the games of deal making against some of the best dealmakers in the world and win, an ordered mind and an honest heart, a propensity for hard work, discipline, and excellent communication skills.

Bernie Sanders as a grown-up hippy who's never been successful at anything but politics and political agitation. He's never produced a single thing of value, even a memorable catch-phrase. He's a crook, a poseur, a sponger, mooch, and con-man of the first order, right out of an Ayn Rand novel.

And he's the best the Democrats have to offer.

“...public adulation she would receive is probably immense.”

The thought of zero running around the White House un-tethered invokes images of vomit man over the bowl.

The only result from a brokered convention that I can imagine is Hellary....

People have told me I'm nuts for nearly four years now but I've been saying it since she showed up supposedly taking a walk in the woods near her home and "surprised" someone who posted a loving photo of a very healthy and robust looking Hillary: She's running again but not really running. She'll steal the nomination at the convention and then refuse to debate Trump because "meanie" and run her campaign like the great Oz, projected onto big screens from behind a curtain and the media will claim she's so tech saavy for inventing this new way to campaign. That's the plan.

I was too young to stay up and watch Chicago ‘68.
Eagerly looking forward to the sequel.

The last brokered convention was in 1952 so what are the chance there will be one this year?

It was a disaster. The difference now is the Milwaukee cops will be on the same side as ANTIFA. It could be a bloodbath.

My money is on Pete Buttigieg. He has staying power.

That's what he said...Peter's husband.

Alfred E. Buttsexual just smiles...another virus on the body politic.

If burny is cheated out of the nomination, the intensity will spill over into rage, which could easily lead to violence.

Nightmare scenario: Bloomberg and Sanders as VP - or vice versa.

1) Sanders is bought off, accepts VP, and his supporters take half a loaf. If the Dems keep the House and Bernie craps out, Pelosi get selected/voted in as VP.

2) Sanders w/Bloomberg as VP. Sanders retires to his 4th house, Bloomberg moves up, and Pelosi takes VP.
